Smekermann 25öre is transcendental. Some of the finest cosmic/drone rock I've heard. The rest of the album is no slouch, either. It shares a song with the new Goat album (Join the Resistance), though I prefer this version. It's folkier and more meandering (not a bad thing). It also has its fair share of fuzz on Distance, another great song. Favorite track: 25öre.

paul rote Incredibly obscure sounding. This could definitely be right out of the sixties . Ridiculous radical left wing ideology to boot 😵‍💫on artwork.
This reminds me of the band Electric Funeral meets Masters Apprentice.
Agitation Free vibes also . Favorite track: Distance.
John Hendren

John Hendren like a moon duo-ish krautrock/black sabbath mash up. repetitive grooves, drones, fuzz riffs, hypnotic flute solos, weird effects and samples….really nice full album/headphones experience.

one of my favorite albums of the year so far; would insta-buy a vinyl release. definitely something i’d want living in my house for the rest of my life 🫠

about

GÅS, Gothenburg's best kept secret return with new music, their first since their 2020 debut single Epitaph caused a small eruption in the Scandinavian underground and psych scenes across the world.

Their debut full length album 'Vol.1' brings more of their trusted sound; raw, thunderous and mindmelting rock'n'roll á la the sound Gothenburg, all steeped in the same candle wax that made 70s Black Sabbath burn so bright.

The members of GÅS don't want to disclose their identities, but it doesn't really matter as the music speaks perfectly well for itself and these cats also know how to boogie. Nothing more to be said. Sit back and enjoy.
